Who is The Cleaner?
Richard Green has been working in the arts, events and project space for nearly three decades. Noticeable for his mohawk and hi-vis kilts, Richard has been involved in organising some of Aotearoa's largest infrastructure events, as well as festivals, NYE events, community events and political marches.
He established a theatre company 30 years ago which is still touring nationally today. He has set up an arts radio show 13 years ago, also still going. His latest project was Kete Aronui and the Factory Theatre, a venue in Tāmaki that enables access to professional arts spaces for disadvantaged arts communities through an inexpensive and inclusive kaupapa.
Not one to be told it can't be done, this was set up during peak COVID.
He loves a challenge, loves fixing things that are broken, and leaving things that aren't. No point in reinventing the wheel.
His biggest thing is relationships - and he brings that to any project he undertakes.
He loves coffee. So buy him one and see how he can help you achieve your project, no matter how how small, big, challenging or seemingly impossible!
